'Abji' to see 8th intl. screening at Brooklyn Filmfest.

TEHRAN, Jun. 03 (MNA) – Iranian film 'Abji' (The Sis), directed by Marjan Ashrafizadeh will experience its eighth international screening at the 20th edition of Brooklyn Film Festival.

Abji narrates the story of two women who have lived together for more than 50 years, but the situation doesn’t remain the same and then the time comes to part ways.

The 20th annual Brooklyn Film Festival kicked off this Friday, June 2nd, which will screen over 122 narrative features, documentaries, narrative and documentary shorts, animated and experimental films from 32 countries spread over six continents.

Abji has won the best feature film award at the 4th edition of the Afghanistan International Women Film Festival.

Iranian actress Golab Adineh also has won Best Actress Award for her role in Abji at the 7th Beijing International Film Festival in China.
