Iran explains details of next round of Iran-US talks

TEHRAN, Apr. 28 (MNA) – Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman says that the fourth round of Iran-US negotiations will be held between Iran's FM Araghchi and US envoy Witkoff.

Speaking at his weekly presser on Monday morning, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei answered questions raised by journalists regarding the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.

He said that the fourth round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington will be held under the chairmanship of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, and the US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff.

"According to the understanding reached in Muscat, the next round of talks is currently scheduled for Saturday, and we are in coordination with the Omani side. The decision on the time and place will be made by the three parties."

"Regarding the details, it is not unusual that more time will be taken up by entering into technical discussions."

"Europe's positions on Iran, as well as (Iran's) process of negotiations and dialogue with neighboring countries, demonstrate the status and importance we attach to neighboring states, as well as other JCPOA member states. This is clear and demonstrates the goodwill of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

"Entering into the details of any negotiation must take place within the general framework that the relevant parties have agreed upon. No details will be agreed upon unless our general framework is taken into account. We will strictly observe the red lines.
